EFFECTIVE AS OF THE DATE SHOWN BELOW WITH ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE, APPROVAL FOR PAST USE AND PERMISSION FOR PRESENT AND FUTURE USE IS BEING GRANTED TO GRETCHEN HEIST, TO USE PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEOS OR OTHER IMAGES TAKEN ON FEBRUARY 3RD TO 8TH, 2025, OF THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY, AS MORE FULLY EXPLAINED IN THIS CONSENT AND RELEASE. THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY IS AN ADULT FULLY AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THIS CONSENT AND RELEASE.

 

FOR VALUE RECEIVED, RECEIPT OF WHICH IS HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGED, THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY HEREBY GRANTS CONSENT TO GRETCHEN HEIST, ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, LICENSEES, AND SUCCESSORS IN INTEREST (COLLECTIVELY, THE RELEASED PARTY) AND AUTHORIZES THE USE OF ANY AND ALL PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS TAKEN OF THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY, AND ANY REPRODUCTION OF THEM IN ANY FORM IN ANY MEDIA WHATSOEVER AND IN ANY DERIVATIVE WORK BASED THEREON THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, AND TO USE THEM TO PUBLICIZE, PROMOTE AND ADVERTISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO USE FOR POINT OF SALE ADVERTISING.

 

THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY ALSO CONSENTS TO THE USE OF THEIR OWN NAME OR ANY FICTITIOUS NAME WHICH MAY BE CHOSEN IN CONNECTION WITH THE AFORE SAID PHOTOGRAPHS.

 

THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY HEREBY RELEASES ANY AND ALL CLAIMS WHATSOEVER IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THEIR PHOTOGRAPH AND NAME AND THE REPRODUCTION THEREOF AS AFORESAID.

 

THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY HEREBY WAIVES ANY RIGHT THAT THEY MAY HAVE TO INSPECT AND/OR APPROVE THE BOOK OR THE ADVERTISING COPY THAT MAY BE USED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH OR THE USE TO WHICH IT MAY BE APPLIED.

 

THE PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY WARRANTS THAT THEY ARE THE UNDERSIGNED AND THAT THEY HAVE READ THIS CONSENT AND RELEASE BEFORE THE SIGNING OF THIS DOCUMENT, THAT THE UNDERSIGNED UNDERSTANDS IT, AND THAT THE UNDERSIGNED FREELY ENTERS INTO THIS CONSENT AND RELEASE.

 

PHOTOGRAPHED PARTY AGREES AND UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND CONSENT FORM, ALL ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES ARE THE LEGAL EQUIVALENT OF MY MANUAL/HANDWRITTEN SIGNATURE AND I CONSENT TO BE LEGALLY BOUND TO THIS AGREEMENT.

A New York-based luxury fashion house specializing in leather goods. The brand is founded and led by Creative Director, Gretchen Heist. Having grown up in her mother’s art studio, Gretchen brings a practice shaped by early exposure to art, narrative, and materials. Heist itself is an anagram of her mother’s maiden name—an inheritance turned into code.

We celebrate and design for women who are beautifully complex, powerful, and unbound by convention. She embodies the dualities of the feminine archetype—refined yet romantic, strategic yet delicate, independent yet vulnerable. She does not choose one version of herself. She carries them all, proudly. She believes in the mystery of being, and in the power of presence: to arrive without announcing, to linger in memory without explanation.

 

Ultimately, she is a mystery. 

 

Like all great mysteries, each Gretchen Heist design has an exploration process. The viewer can experience the artwork from the first impression to discovering hidden details within. Every design is handcrafted and incorporates themes of psychology, symbology, and Trompe l’oeil details. Texture is essential to the experience of each piece, from textile fabrication to the incorporation of non-traditional notions into the work. Gretchen Heist blends artistic intention, handcrafted technique, and partnerships with contemporary artists to create designs that are expressions of wearable art.
